New Eyes

Andrea Timm is a Maine native and resides on Sebago Lake. She has always had an attraction to the arts which has shown up in many forms. Enjoying jewelry making, cooking, fashion, design music and playing bass guitar in a local band. It was in 2011 that she picked up a watercolor class with friends that started her on her way to the magic of creating with paint. Andrea has studied at MECA and under Judith Kinsman and Dietlind Vander Schaaf and enjoys watercolor, acrylic and encaustic (molten wax) painting. Challenging herself with architecture, ocean scapes, animals, people, abstracts or whatever it is that sparks her interest. She realizes all the beauty surrounding us in the world and painting has given her new eyes in which to see deeper and more meaningfully. Andrea feels that art is a way to connect with others. A certain photo, painting or song can transport a person to a certain place or feeling in time.
Andrea has been showing her pieces around Maine and has been widely received. She has an art studio on RT. 1 in Scarborough, Maine.
