Meet the Artist
Kimberly Jablon
Augusta, Maine
Drawn to Photograph
Kimberly Jablon is a Maine native and developed a passion for photography early in life with her first 110 camera. She has traveled extensively but is continually drawn to photograph the Maine coast.
Her series of work on exhibit at the GOMA was photographed with a Hasselblad XPan, film camera. The panoramic negative is made of two 35mm. It is not a standard size, so a special negative carrier had to be constructed for these images to be printed. All photographs in this series are a chromogenic print (color) and were hand printed.
