Capturing Moments

Sarah Paine is a talented landscape artist and former art professor who loves the natural beauty of Maine. After training in both classical portrait and landscape oil painting and earning her MFA, she taught art at the college level for 7 years. She began painting professionally in Augusta, Maine in 2022. Sarah is inspired by fleeting moments in time and seeks to capture the impression of a moment through texture, color, and palette knife techniques. Whether she is hiking along Maine’s coastlines or along the tops of Maine’s mountains, this beautiful state stirs a sense of wonder in her.
